A repeater is a device that extends the transmission range by relaying Glow signals in areas where the signal would otherwise not reach.
Repeaters offer two modes: Normal Mode and Long-Range Mode.
To use Long-Range Mode, all Glow R, Glow C, and repeater units must be set to Long-Range Mode.
You cannot mix Normal Mode and Long-Range Mode devices.
While Long-Range Mode extends the transmission range up to a maximum of 1 km, it reduces the communication speed by half to 250 kbps and introduces latency.
Please select the appropriate mode based on your specific situation.
Mode switching
If you turn on the power normally, it will start up in standard mode.
In standard mode, the background color of the title area at the top is white.
If you turn on the power while pressing the button on the LCD display area, it will enter long-range mode.
Keep the button pressed while turning on the power, and release it once “LONG RANGE MODE” appears on the display.
When switched to long-range mode, the background color of the title area changes to orange.
Please verify that the title area background color is orange on all connected Glow C/Glow R units.
